Direct Content ID access is granted to rights administrators managing substantial catalogs with exclusive rights — not to individual artists or most independent labels. Working through a certified partner like Next is the standard route: you get the tooling without the eligibility barrier or the operational overhead.

Not when it's set up properly. Your channels — and any channels you approve — are whitelisted against your assets, so your own uploads, premieres and promo clips are never hit by your own claims.

Exclusive rights to the recordings you deliver, in the territories we administer. Content ID doesn't accept content you don't exclusively control — no beats licensed non-exclusively, no public-domain-only material, no content with unresolved samples. We verify this at onboarding, because bad references put an entire catalog's standing at risk.

Disputes come to our rights team, not your inbox. Valid ones (like a channel you'd want whitelisted) get resolved in your interest; invalid ones are rejected with evidence within the response window, and escalations are handled through the CMS process.

It scales with how much your music circulates: catalogs with active fan communities, viral moments or heavily-used tracks can see Content ID rival their DSP income; quieter catalogs earn less but leak nothing. Either way it's revenue that costs you no extra work — the same recordings, earning from more places.
